Description
Since a GE Zoneline Vertical Air Conditioner (VTAC) does not install in a wall opening, the use of a plenum is required to contain and separate the outdoor air paths. The plenum must be able to hold water in the bottom without leaking into the wall cavity. It also must have a "splitter" to separate the outdoor air paths and prevent the discharge air from being drawn back into the unit.
The RAVWPT15B plenum is 26-1/2" wide x 40-5/8" high and requires a 24" wide by 40" high cutout. Featuring a telescopic design, it can accommodate various wall thicknesses from 8" up to 15". Its QuickInstall 2-piece design allows for plenum assembly before installation in the wall. This design also provides for interior installation with no need to access the exterior of the building. Also included for installation is a 1.25" thick gasket that assures a complete seal between the plenum and unit, eliminating outdoor air or moisture from entering the space.
For easier installation, we recommend installing the grille kit (RAVAL4, sold separately) at the time of wall plenum installation.
